Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of highly complex applications, components, software platforms, and services.
- Oversee the implementation of advanced data models, data marts, and data flows to support the organization's needs.
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and guidelines for the engineering team.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire engineering department.
- Oversee all outsourced engineering activities and manage third-party providers.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables from external partners within the defined budget.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor progress, remove obstacles, and ensure the timely delivery of roadmap initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to meet desired outcomes and expectations.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, tool enhancements, and technological innovations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive the organization's technical vision.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the engineering team's effectiveness.
- Implement data-driven decision-making and continuously optimize processes and resource allocation.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable engineering solutions.
Requirements:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree and extensive game industry experience.
- Experience of working within cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing), with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Strong experience in managing, leading, and coaching Software Engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Well management skills with multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment(working within a start-up environment or a growth business is highly preferred).
