Key responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate solutions with a bias for automation to improve and maintain reliability across the production estate and make recovery easier.
- Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) to ensure consistent, high-quality deployments.
- Design and track metrics for uptime and performance, ensuring high levels of visibility are maintained through dashboards and alerting.
- Own the incident management process and continuously improve our monitoring, on-call hygiene, and post-incident follow-ups.
- Own release engineering for customer self-hosted deployments, including packaged deployment artifacts (for example Helm charts/manifests), versioning, upgrade guides, and troubleshooting runbooks.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure consistent deployments and reliable connectivity of devices on our platforms.
- Drive secure-by-default infrastructure practices, including IAM least privilege, secrets management, patching, and vulnerability scanning integration.
- Maintain a lightweight security/compliance evidence pack (architecture diagrams, control descriptions, runbooks) and support customer security questionnaires.
- Contribute to backend work as needed (typically up to ~30%), with a focus on reliability, deployments, and infrastructure-adjacent improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor in computer science or related subject (or equivalent experience).
- At least three years of relevant working experience (DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, cloud).
- Hands-on experience operating production systems on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (for example Docker and Kubernetes).
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent).
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Go, Python, or shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with debugging and optimizing code, as well as automation.
- Experience with monitoring/alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and PagerDuty (or equivalents).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear operational and deployment documentation.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.
Nice to haves:
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis) and the operational side of running them in production.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers with self-hosted deployments, including writing and maintaining deployment and troubleshooting documentation.
- Experience with security questionnaires, security reviews, or producing lightweight compliance documentation.
- Experience with identity providers and authentication/authorization protocols (for example OAuth/OIDC).
- Experience working in the mobile apps ecosystem and/or with AR technology.
