We’re in Singapore this week as invited speakers at Fortune Brainstorm AI, a 300–400-person, invite-only event.
Nils will be discussing decentralized machine perception and why it matters for the future of humanoids and physical AI.
MechKenna—our humanoid resources intern—is also giving his second-ever in-person interview, this time with Fortune Magazine.
We’ll be sharing a stage with OpenAI’s international GM, Walmart India’s head of tech, and other leaders we expect to get along with well. The talk is scheduled for Wednesday.
Back in Hong Kong, the team received the Engine AI PM01 robot—the same one known online for its “axe dance.” We’re one of the very first people in the world to actually receive the Engine AI robot.
It’s open-source, inexpensive, and positioned as a major Unitree competitor. We’ll be filming an unboxing video this week, and Engine AI is eager to see our decentralized perception stack running on it.
We’re rolling out new deployments this week in Indonesia, where customers may soon try app-free navigation inside a real grocery store. Depending on timing, Denmark might actually be the first to launch—but one of them will cross the finish line within days.
Expect directions for where to try it live by the next community update.
We’ve signed an MOU welcoming Tashi as a founding member of Intercognitive, joining Geodnet, peaq, Mawari, and of course Auki.
“Tashi is a really cool protocol for generating consensus in edge networks… something a little bit like a blockchain.”
Their work on serverless, peer-to-peer state consensus aligns beautifully with the Intercognitive vision—especially future scenarios where autonomous systems coordinate ad-hoc (like the classic “Beijing traffic” example).
You can meet all Intercognitive members—including us—at Token 2049, where we’ll be hosting a side event in Sentosa.
Hybrid robotics continues to gain traction. In this model:
“You can basically get an AI co-pilot for physical work.”
We’ve already had a soft inquiry from a retail chain with 230 stores asking for 2,300 pairs of glasses. Our ambition: serve 100,000 stores in three years—roughly one million glasses deployed.
Lease pricing is expected to be around $500 per year per pair, with daily $AUKI token burns tied to usage.
Our initial estimates: 10–30 cents burned per device per day for the early glasses.
As devices evolve and use cases deepen:
“The ultimate goal is a billion active devices burning one dollar per day.”
A billion devices burning $1/day = $1B in daily burns.
The long-term vision extends even further: 100 billion active agentic physical AI participants interacting with the world and the network.
“If anything is going to unseat Ethereum and Bitcoin, it’s going to be Auki.”
The update closed with some informal community chat—Sweden, berries, moose safaris, subway systems, and MTR nostalgia—before wrapping and moving to the off-record Discord discussion.
As always, updates stream weekly in our Discord, with extra behind-the-scenes content once the public broadcast ends.
