Auki community update recap: Jan 16, 2026

Silicon Valley Networking, Fortune 500 Meetings, and Cactus Insights

Good morning from San Francisco. Following CES, the networking and deal-making have continued at breakneck speed. From deep-dive strategy sessions with robotics OEMs to an upcoming closed-door event with the biggest names in venture capital, it is clear that Auki's strategy is turning heads.

Here is what we’ve been up to this week in Silicon Valley and back in the Hong Kong lab.

The World AI Eyewear Alliance & Mentra

We kicked off the week meeting with the World AI Eyewear Alliance, an organization formed by the biggest smart glasses OEMs to drive spatial standards. Nils brought along Caden, CEO of Mentra (an Auki ecosystem partner), to discuss the future of spatial computing and AI glasses.

The conversation was phenomenal. Our perspective on the future of spatial computing was highly influential, and it is very likely that Auki will officially join the Alliance. We expect to have a massive opportunity to shape the smart glasses space this year.

Silicon Valley Recognizes the Business Plan

Throughout the week, Nils met with numerous robotics OEMs and influential analysts, including a fantastic six-hour sit-down with Jacob Rintamaki. The feedback we are getting on the ground validates everything we have been building.

There is a growing consensus in Silicon Valley that Auki's approach is entirely unique. As Nils put it: "A joke we kept hearing last week was that, oh my God, Auki is the only robotics company with an actual business plan."

To capitalize on this momentum, we are hosting a highly exclusive, closed-door event this coming Monday in San Francisco. With almost 30 confirmed attendees—including some of the biggest names in VC and founders of top AI companies—we will be discussing the unfiltered state of physical AI, hardware, software, and the realities of the market.

Fortune 500 Meetings in the US

Next week, Nils is flying out to sit down with two Fortune 500 companies that have already been actively piloting our software.

  • A Major US Retailer: We are meeting with one of the largest retail chains in America to discuss expanding their successful pilot.
  • A Global CPG Giant: We are meeting with a massive Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company that wants to take our partnership to the next level by setting up a shared innovation center and robotics lab with us.

Reconstruction Progress & Cactus Insights

Back in the lab, the technical progress continues to accelerate.

  • Massive Reconstructions: Our community-hosted reconstruction nodes are now successfully cobbling together disparate video streams from regular phones into massive 3D representations. We recently processed a staggering 70-million splat reconstruction using only phone data. This proves that we can make physical spaces robot-ready before the robots even arrive, slashing deployment times from weeks to a single day.
  • Cactus Insights: We are developing a new feature that uses generative AI combined with the spatial and sales data we capture. Cactus will proactively analyze a store's data and provide a feed of actionable insights directly to the store manager. "Having conversations about your data with an LLM and having the LLM proactively look for interesting insights... we think it's going to make Cactus a lot more sticky."

There is a growing fan base in Silicon Valley that believes Auki is going to be the first robotics company to reach $100 million (or even $1 billion) in recurring revenue. We are focused on making that a reality.

About Auki

Auki is making the physical world accessible to AI by building the real world web: a way for robots and digital devices like smart glasses and phones to browse, navigate, and search physical locations.

70% of the world economy is still tied to physical locations and labor, so making the physical world accessible to AI represents a 3X increase in the TAM of AI in general. Auki's goal is to become the decentralized nervous system of AI in the physical world, providing collaborative spatial reasoning for the next 100bn devices on Earth and beyond.
